Volleyball Recap: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Christian Patriots

Valhalla lost against Christian last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Valhalla Norsemen fell just short of the Christian Patriots by a score of 3-2. While the Norsemen didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-19 in the first set.

Valhalla's offense was headlined by Gno Casanova and Andrew Ramzi, who picked up six kills apiece. Casanova really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 22. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Leading Christian to victory were McKade Mathson and Trae Pheasant. Mathson had 21 digs and four aces, while Pheasant had 18 assists and 15 digs. Those four aces gave Mathson a new career-high. Jack McGinnis was another key player, getting 18 digs.

Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
