Basketball Recap: Plain Dealing Takes a Loss

Plain Dealing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Arcadia Hornets and fell 58-18. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Hornets are ranked 75th).

Plain Dealing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Arcadia, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Plain Dealing Lions take on the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arcadia, they will square off against Haynesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcadia is on a four-game streak of home wins, Haynesville a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
