Basketball Game Preview: Crandon Cardinals vs. Tomahawk Hatchets

The Crandon Cardinals will take on the Tomahawk Hatchets in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crandon comes in on five and Tomahawk on four.

Crandon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Elcho to the tune of 75-15 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

While Tomahawk didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Elcho 51-10.

Tomahawk's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Crandon, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything went Crandon's way against Tomahawk when the teams last played back in December of 2016, as Crandon made off with a 63-40 victory. Does Crandon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tomahawk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
