Softball Recap: Madison Central's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Madison Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Starkville on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets a 10-0 shutout. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Emma Fletcher Perry, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Crews Boyer, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Madison Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

With the win, Madison Central broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10. As for Starkville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
