Preview: Windham Whippets vs. Montville Wolves
The Windham Whippets will head out on the road to face off against the Montville Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Windham is ranked 39th, while Montville is ranked 61st).
Last Tuesday, Windham humbled St. Bernard with a 66-27 victory. 66 seems to be a good number for Windham as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Windham's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asihja Harris, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hailey Flores, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Montville slipped by Tourtellotte 41-40 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Montville.
Windham now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Montville, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything came up roses for Windham against Montville in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 70-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windham since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
