Softball Recap: Lancaster Flying Arrows vs. Barneveld Eagles
After flying high against Cuba City on Wednesday, Lancaster came back down to earth. The Flying Arrows lost 18-1 to the Barneveld Eagles on Thursday. The Flying Arrows were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Lancaster saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Hill's first of the season.
Lancaster's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Barneveld, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
Coming up, Lancaster will head out to take on Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
