Softball Recap: Madawaska Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fort Kent

Madawaska had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Fort Kent Warriors, falling 26-7. The Owls have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Dianiliz Conde-Silva was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Savannah Lagasse was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madawaska will venture away from home to take on Central Aroostook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Kent, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Presque Isle at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
