Basketball Recap: Wortham Piles Up the Points Against Cross Roads

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Wortham's strategy against Cross Roads on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Bobcats out of the water with a 74-47 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Wortham found their leader in sophomore Kaedon Busby, who went 12-for-17 on his way to 32 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Busby has scored all season. Tyler Langley was another key player, putting up 15 points and five steals.

The win made it two in a row for Wortham and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 27 points. As for Cross Roads, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Wortham will take on Mount Calm at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cross Roads, they will challenge Mildred at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
