Preview: Brackenridge Eagles vs. King Brahmas
The Brackenridge Eagles will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the King Brahmas at 1:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Brackenridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday.
Brackenridge pushed their score all the way to 61, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Seguin by a score of 64-61. While losing is never fun, Brackenridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 919th, while Seguin is ranked 249th).
Despite the defeat, Brackenridge got a solid performance out of Isaiah Cardona, who scored 26 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Cardona's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Javi Solis, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, King was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 55-54 to Falfurrias. King has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
TMI-Episcopal's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Brackenridge's loss dropped theirs to 2-6.
