Basketball Recap: Grady Comes Up Short

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Grady was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 44-21 to the Corona/Vaughn Cardinals. The Bronchos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Corona/Vaughn found their leader in sophomore Harper Dunn, who dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 25 rebounds, and 11 blocks. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Dunn has scored at least a third of Corona/Vaughn's points.

Grady has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Corona/Vaughn, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Grady has already played their next contest (against Des Moines), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Corona/Vaughn will take on Logan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Logan will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Corona/Vaughn surely won't give up without a fight.
