Basketball Recap: McLean vs. Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles
McLean's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 73-47 walloping at the hands of Model Secondary School for the Deaf. McLean has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Model Secondary School for the Deaf got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Burckhardt out in front who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burckhardt has scored all season. Luke Florio was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds.
McLean's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Smith Jewish Day School the next time they take the court. McLean will host the Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
