Silver waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Santa Teresa Warriors as they made off with a 17-2 win. Considering the Slvr Ftg Colts have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaelynn Cardenas made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Vanessa Lucero was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tianna Ortiz, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Silver kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Silver's record is now 11-7. As for Santa Teresa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Silver wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-2 victory against Deming on the 13th. As for Santa Teresa, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-7 win against Chaparral on the 13th.
