Football Recap: Robertsdale Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Robertsdale extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were dealt a 47-9 loss at the hands of the Fairhope Pirates. If the Golden Bears were looking for revenge after losing 38-14 to the Pirates when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cub Jones threw for 97 yards while completing 79.2% of his passes. Colton Boudreaux was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Micah Hardy rushed for 73 yards.

As for Fairhope, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Fairhope's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Fisher Southall, who picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Southall a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Trey Garner, who threw for 155 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes.

Looking ahead, Robertsdale will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Orange Beach at 7:00 p.m. As for Fairhope, they will venture away from home to face off against Theodore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
