Baseball Game Preview: Poland Seminary Bulldogs vs. South Range Raiders

The Poland Seminary Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the South Range Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Poland Seminary saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Princeton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, South Range's hitters rose to the challenge against a Knights pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.72 runs allowed on Monday. The Raiders put the hurt on Greenfield with a sharp 10-3 win.

South Range has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Poland Seminary, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Poland Seminary couldn't quite finish off South Range when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
