Soccer Game Preview: North Wilkes vs. Wilkes Central

North Wilkes is 0-10 against Wilkes Central since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. North Wilkes is taking a road trip to take on Wilkes Central at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Wilkes' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over West Wilkes. The win continues a trend for North Wilkes in their matchups with West Wilkes: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Wilkes Central made easy work of East Surry on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Wilkes Central, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

Riley Huffman was the driving force of Wilkes Central's attack as she scored all three of Wilkes Central's goals, bringing her season total up to 16 goals.

The win got Wilkes Central back to even at 4-4. As for North Wilkes, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6-1.

North Wilkes might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Wilkes Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can North Wilkes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
