Softball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Emporia Spartans, falling 16-0.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Emporia, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.

West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emporia, they will face off against Life Prep at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Fire have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.38 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
