Basketball Recap: Southwest Edgecombe Piles Up the Points Against Tarboro

SouthWest Edgecombe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zy Thigpen led the charge by going 9 of 13 en route to 20 points and five boards. Thigpen's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alijah Lassiter, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds.

SouthWest Edgecombe's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Tarboro, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.
