Preview: West Davidson Dragons vs. North Rowan Cavaliers
West Davidson is on a three-game streak of home wins, while North Rowan is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The West Davidson Dragons will take on the North Rowan Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though West Davidson has not done well against Lexington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West Davidson came out on top against Lexington by a score of 38-30.
West Davidson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Motlei Stovall out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stovall has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Cooper, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, even though Albemarle scored an imposing 64 points on Wednesday, North Rowan still came out on top. North Rowan took their contest against Albemarle 75-64.
West Davidson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for North Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.
