Football Recap: New Britain Victorious + How To Watch

New Britain won the last time they faced Hall and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Hurricanes came out on top against the Titans by a score of 44-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Hurricanes.

Jayden Allen had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 211 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Seymour, who rushed for 83 yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something New Britain proved: they limited Hall to a paltry 0.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Isiah Estrada for the heroic effort on defense: he. New Britain didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.2.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for New Britain, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Todd Samuel, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Hall's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Scher, who picked up 147 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Tommy Hussey, who threw for 376 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. Scher's longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Spencer Zazzaro, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

New Britain has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

New Britain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-21 defeat against Fairfield Prep on the 26th. As for Hall, they have also already played their next game, a 38-26 victory against Simsbury on the 27th.
