It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Las Plumas had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Red Bluff Spartans as they made off with a 5-1 win. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Red Bluff with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nathan Friberg (3), Ethan YangPhiasy, and Jayden Newkirk.

Las Plumas' victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Red Bluff, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.

Las Plumas will challenge Corning at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corning will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Las Plumas surely won't give up without a fight. Red Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
