Recap: Greeley Central Wildcats vs. Windsor Wizards
The Greeley Central Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 75-41 loss at the hands of Windsor. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greeley Central in their matchups with Windsor: they've now lost four in a row.
Greeley Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reid Arlo richardson, who scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arlo richardson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abdirahman Dahir, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnnie Reed led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Reed is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tadese Keyworth, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Greeley Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Windsor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greeley Central will take on Greeley West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greeley West is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Windsor, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. Averaging 64.4 so far this season, Silver Creek's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Windsor better be ready for a challenge.
