Softball Game Preview: Agoura Chargers vs. Camarillo Scorpions

The Agoura Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the Camarillo Scorpions at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Agoura came up short against Granada Hills Charter and fell 10-6.

Quinn Tamburro made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. Amaya Del Olmo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Camarillo has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saugus. The Scorpions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Agoura now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Camarillo, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Agoura beat Camarillo 8-5 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Agoura since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
