Dawson entered their tilt with Dobie on Friday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They never let the Dobie Longhorns onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Longhorns are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aida Engle and Kaitlin Quada scored both of Dawson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Dawson's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four games. As for Dobie, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
