            Softball Recap: Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish vs. Powers Catholic Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Notre Dame Prep won the last time they faced Powers Catholic and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Fighting Irish walked away with  a   9-5  victory over the Chargers. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Fighting Irish.
 Brianna DeCaussin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.

Notre Dame Prep's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 21-7. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
