The Mt. Pleasant Tigers will challenge the Zion Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Pleasant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

While Mt. Pleasant's win against East Hickman County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Mt. Pleasant sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over East Hickman County on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jackson Lindsey and Sheldon Christy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lindsey struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Meanwhile, Christy pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Lindsey scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Christy went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. However, it's not like Zion Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
