Softball Recap: Northeast Eagles vs. Chesapeake Cougars
Northeast took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Chesapeake, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Northeast skirted past Chesapeake 3-2. The Eagles' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Northeast's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madison Burris, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Sophie Bossom also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Northeast hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chesapeake struck out eight times.
