Football Recap: Durant Takes a Loss

Durant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 44-14 loss at the hands of the Sigourney-Keota Cobras. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Durant's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sigourney-Keota, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Durant will host Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sigourney-Keota, they will challenge Cardinal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
