Preview: Parkwood Wolf Pack vs. Crest Chargers
The Parkwood Wolf Pack are on the road again on Friday and play against the Crest Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Parkwood strolled past Piedmont with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win was just what Parkwood needed coming off of a 42-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Isaiah Boulware-jones, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Crest put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Kings Mountain with a sharp 39-14 win. Considering Crest has won seven matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Crest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ny?tavious Huskey out in front who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 48 yards and a touchdown. Aj Adams also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Crest's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Derek Mitchell and his four sacks.
Parkwood's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Crest, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
