Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Booneville's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Booneville won the last time they faced Okolona and things went their way on Thursday too. The Booneville Blue Devils enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over the Okolona Chieftains. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Chieftains are ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Booneville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Okolona, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
