Volleyball Recap: Western Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Western couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Miami Stingarees on Tuesday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

While Western was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

Western's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Miami, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miami, they will challenge Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Stingarees surely won't give up without a fight.
