Baseball Recap: Blackwell Comes Up Short

Blackwell lost against Crossings Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Blackwell took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crossings Christian. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blackwell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Estep, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Estep also put up a run, which was his first of the season.

Blackwell's record is now 2-10. As for Crossings Christian, they moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While Blackwell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
