Basketball Recap: Wagner Takes a Loss

Wagner lost against Judson back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunderbirds received a blow as they fell 54-40 to the Rockets. The Thunderbirds' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Wagner still got an impressive performance from Lance Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Aiden Uresti, who posted seven points.

Wagner's record now sits at 4-9. As for Judson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wagner will take on Tivy in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Judson and SA Roosevelt will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
