Basketball Recap: West Charlotte's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

West Charlotte lost to West Mecklenburg back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The West Charlotte Lions strolled past the West Mecklenburg Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. That looming 55-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

West Charlotte's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amen(AC) Pressley, who posted nine points. Pressley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Barama Kone, who earned seven points and seven rebounds.

West Charlotte's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. As for West Mecklenburg, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

West Charlotte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-58 defeat against Olympic on the 21st. West Mecklenburg and Carvers Bay will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
