Softball Recap: Liberty Falls Short of Champion in the Playoffs

Liberty and Champion squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Liberty had to settle for second. They lost 6-0 to the Golden Flashes. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Flashes this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-0 defeat back in April.

Liberty has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Champion, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.

Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Champion, they will challenge Poland Seminary at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
