Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Chautauqua Lake

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chautauqua Lake had no problem doing just that on Sunday. They came out on top against the Barker Bulldogs by a score of 7-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four games in a row.

Chautauqua Lake let Cayden Blackman and Nate Henry run wild. Blackman went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run, while Henry went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave Henry a new career-high.

Chautauqua Lake's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Barker, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

As of now, neither Chautauqua Lake nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
