The Ryan Raiders will face off against the Aledo Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ryan comes in on eight and Aledo on 13.
Ryan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 41-10 victory over Richland. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Royals are ranked 110th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ryan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quin Henigan led the charge by throwing for 227 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Henigan has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Ryan also got a significant boost from Tre'Vaughn Reynolds, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 135 yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ryan proved: they limited Richland to a paltry two yards per carry. The team can thank Jaxson Dozier for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in September.
Ryan's defense also made the game a nightmare for Brett Kates, racking up seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Dominic Walker and Kha'Ron Freeman-Wade, who racked up four sacks between them. Uzziah Warmate was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Aledo never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Arlington Heights 55-0. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by 42 points or more this season.
Ryan better keep an eye on Brady Powell. He was instrumental in Aledo's win, rushing for 201 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Powell's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Kaden Winkfield was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries.
Ryan's record now sits at 12-1. As for Aledo, their record is now 13-0.
Ryan and Aledo were almost perfectly matched up when the teams last played back in October, but Ryan suffered an agonizing 15-14 loss. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
