Baseball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Comes Up Short

Pine Lake Prep lost against Lincoln Charter last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pine Lake Prep lost 17-5 to Lincoln Charter. The Pride have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aiden Kaliszewski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was EJ Lewis, Jr., who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pine Lake Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Lincoln Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pine Lake Prep will challenge rival Mountain Island Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln Charter is set to square off against their familiar foe Langtree Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lincoln Charter 2.4, Langtree Charter Academy 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
