Basketball Game Preview: Breckenridge Buckaroos vs. Peaster Greyhounds

The Breckenridge Buckaroos are taking a road trip to challenge the Peaster Greyhounds at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Breckenridge and three for Peaster.

Last Friday, Breckenridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 31-27 to Millsap.

Meanwhile, Peaster has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 28.87 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They had to suffer through a 67-24 loss at the hands of Comanche. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 759th, while the Indians are ranked 217th).

Peaster's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Breckenridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-29.

Breckenridge came up short against Peaster in their previous meeting back in January, falling 33-28. Can Breckenridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
