Volleyball Recap: Troy Christian Comes Up Short

Troy Christian lost against Covington back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Buccs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-14, 24-26, 25-21, 25-23.

Jenna Borton paced Troy Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Borton got some help from Taylor Bechtol and her 35 assists. Madelyn Fourman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ramse Vanderhorst was a one-woman wrecking crew For Covington. as she had 22 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Vanderhorst a new career-high in assists (nine).

Troy Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Covington, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Troy Christian will take on Milton-Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covington, they will face off against Arcanum at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Buccs surely won't give up without a fight.
