Preview: Hale Center Owls vs. Smyer Bobcats
The Hale Center Owls will head out on the road to challenge the Smyer Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hale Center has eight straight wins, Smyer has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Hale Center beat Olton 53-41.
Meanwhile, Smyer lost to Lockney on the road by a decisive 70-52 margin on Tuesday. Smyer has not had much luck with Lockney recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Hale Center has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Smyer, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-19.
Everything came up roses for Hale Center against Smyer in their previous matchup on January 2nd as the team secured a 72-34 victory. With Hale Center ahead 46-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
