Doyle's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hammond Tornadoes 3-1. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 12-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Doyle's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brody Keen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Doyle's record now sits at 6-14-1. As for Hammond, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Coming up, Doyle will challenge Bogalusa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hammond, they will face off against Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
