Softball Recap: McKinley Trojans vs. Waterloo Vikings
McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Waterloo Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to McKinley of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Bella Threet was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Blake Thomas was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Waterloo, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKinley will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Leetonia at 5:00 p.m. As for Waterloo, they will face off against Woodridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
