Softball Recap: New Smyrna Beach Comes Up Short

New Smyrna Beach fell victim to Spruce Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

New Smyrna Beach's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Spruce Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

New Smyrna Beach will host Atlantic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spruce Creek, they will head out to face off against Eau Gallie at 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
