Preview: CORE Butte Lynx vs. Maxwell Panthers
CORE Butte is 0-10 against the Panthers since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The CORE Butte Lynx will look to defend their home court against the Maxwell Panthers at 8:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for CORE Butte: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Panthers have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
Last Tuesday, CORE Butte took a serious blow against the Bulldogs, falling 52-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points CORE Butte has scored all season.
Even though Maxwell has not done well against the Yellowjackets recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Maxwell had just enough and edged the Yellowjackets out 54-52.
CORE Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Maxwell, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
