Soccer Game Preview: Central Valley vs. Livingston

The Central Valley Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Livingston Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Livingston better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Central Valley really get things going. Everything went Central Valley's way against Beyer on Tuesday as Central Valley made off with a 4-0 win. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Patriots are ranked 678th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Livingston came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and Grace Davis finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Wolves have been dealt a draw since January 7th.

Central Valley pushed their record up to 13-5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three games. Livingston's draw makes their record 7-6-2 this season.
