Baseball Recap: Alcorn Central Takes a Loss

Alcorn Central and Choctaw County squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Alcorn Central had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 14-3. The Bears' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Alcorn Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayse Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Choctaw County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Alcorn Central nor Choctaw County have any future games scheduled.
