Basketball Game Preview: Elsberry Indians vs. Palmyra Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Elsberry Indians and the Palmyra Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Elsberry will bounce into Friday's game after beating Fort Zumwalt East, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Elsberry strolled past Fort Zumwalt East with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 51-36.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Palmyra against Griggsville-Perry last Saturday as the team secured a 58-30 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 28 points or more this season.

Elsberry's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Palmyra, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
