Softball Recap: St. Ignace Takes a Loss

St. Ignace couldn't beat Rudyard on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Saints fell 8-5 to the Bulldogs. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Ignace saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Cullen, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Ignace and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Rudyard, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, St. Ignace will head out to square off against Brimley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rudyard, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Superior Central at 4:00 p.m. on May 9.
