Baseball Game Preview: Clifton Cubs vs. Teague Lions

The Clifton Cubs will challenge the Teague Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Clifton and McGregor, and McGregor kept the tradition alive. The Cubs fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cubs have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 6, 2021.

Meanwhile, Teague suffered their closest defeat since March 8, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of Groesbeck by a score of 5-3.

Teague's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Clifton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-7.

Everything went Clifton's way against Teague when the teams last played back in April of 2016, as Clifton made off with a 16-3 win. Will the Cubs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
