It was a proper cat-fight when Mitchell took on Hershey on Friday. The Tigers pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Leading Mitchell to victory were James Billingsley and Michael Plasencio. Billingsley rushed for 170 yards and five scores, while Plasencio rushed for 182 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. The Tigers are 3-1 when Plasencio posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mitchell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Mitchell's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Hershey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hershey, they will head out to take on Cedar Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 6.8 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
